Abyssinia Coffee Australia was founded by Tesfay Tefera to share the depth, heritage, and flavour of Ethiopian coffee — and to supply cafés and roasters with coffee they can trust.

Meet Tesfaye

Ethiopia is widely known as the birthplace of coffee — but for Tesfay, it’s more personal than history. Coffee in Ethiopia is community, respect, and connection.
After bringing his passion to Australia, Tesfaye founded Abyssinia Coffee Australia to offer something rare in today’s market: authentic Ethiopian coffee with a transparent journey, and a supplier relationship built on responsiveness and care.
